How it works

Simple listings, direct deals.

BrevTech hosts the advertisement. Sellers and buyers contact each other directly, agree on payment, arrange pickup or shipping, and handle the sale between themselves.

1. Send the machine details Model, location, asking price, condition, known faults, accessories, serial number, and clear photos.
2. BrevTech reviews the ad Listings are manually checked for completeness before publication. Recalled, unsafe, or suspicious listings may be refused.
3. Pay the listing fee If the ad is accepted, the seller pays the standard or featured listing product through normal Shopify checkout.
4. The ad goes live BrevTech publishes the approved ad for 30 days and can update it if the seller needs a price or status change.
5. Buyers contact the seller The machine sale happens off-site. BrevTech does not process the machine payment or take commission on the sale.
6. Seller marks it sold When the machine sells, the seller should reply to BrevTech so the ad can be removed or marked sold.
Seller instructions

Make the ad useful for repair-minded buyers.

Good listings are specific about symptoms, accessories, repair history, and what has not been tested. That helps working-machine buyers and DIY repairers decide quickly.

Photos to include Front, back, top, data label or serial area, drip tray area, accessories, and close-ups of damage or leaks.
Fault details Write the exact symptom: no power, trips breaker, weak steam, leaking, ER05, ERR, noisy pump, no water flow, or unknown.
History Include approximate age, recent service, parts replaced, descaling history if known, and whether anyone has opened the machine.
Deal terms State local pickup or shipping, included accessories, whether price is firm, and whether the buyer can test before purchase.
Condition categories

For working machines, repair projects, and parts donors.

Working Used machine that currently makes coffee. Sellers should still disclose age, leaks, recent repairs, and any intermittent problems.
Faulty but complete Good fit for DIY repairers. The listing should name the symptoms, error codes, leaks, heating issues, or parts already replaced.
Parts or project For machines with missing parts, major damage, unknown history, or no power. Buyers should assume diagnostic work is required.
Boundaries

This is a classifieds board, not a BrevTech certification.

Listings must be honest and specific. BrevTech may remove ads, but buyers still need to inspect, ask questions, and make their own decision before paying a seller.

Unless a separate paid inspection is agreed in writing, BrevTech has not inspected, tested, repaired, certified, warranted, or valued the listed machine.

Seller responsibility Sellers must own the machine, disclose faults, and confirm the machine is not recalled, stolen, financed, or unsafe to sell.
Buyer responsibility Buyers should verify identity, inspect before purchase where possible, use safe payment methods, and assume used machines may need service.
No sale handling BrevTech does not hold funds, ship machines, arrange escrow, guarantee condition, or resolve disputes between buyer and seller.
Broken is allowed Faulty machines are welcome when clearly labelled. Hiding faults or describing a project machine as working is not allowed.
Buyer guidance

Treat every used machine as unverified until you check it.

A cheap faulty machine can be a great DIY project, but espresso machines combine electricity, heat, water, and pressure. Buy with that in mind.

Ask for a short video For working machines, ask to see power-up, warm-up, water flow, shot pull, steam, and any warning or error messages.
Confirm what is included Portafilter, baskets, water tank, drip tray, milk jug, grinder parts, and manuals can materially affect value.
Use safer payment habits Meet in a safe place, avoid irreversible payments to unknown sellers, and be cautious with shipping expensive machines.
Budget for service Even a working used machine may need seals, probes, valves, pump work, cleaning, or a full service after purchase.
Listing fees

Charge for visibility, not the transaction.

A flat listing fee keeps the model clean: sellers pay for the advertisement, then deal directly with buyers. BrevTech does not take a success fee from the machine sale.

Launch standard listing: $19 Thirty days on the classifieds page after approval. Suitable for most working or repair-project machines while the board is filling up. Pay standard listing
Launch featured listing: $39 Priority placement for thirty days. Useful for higher-value machines, bundles, or sellers who want more visibility. Pay featured listing

Pay only after BrevTech has reviewed your listing details and confirmed the ad is suitable. These products pay for advertising space only, not the machine itself.

  • BrevTech matches the payment to the approved listing request.
  • The ad is published for 30 days unless it sells earlier or is removed for a rules issue.
  • Featured listings receive priority placement above standard listings while the feature period is active.
  • Listing fees are for review and advertising space; they are not a guarantee that the machine will sell.
