Why BrevTech exists
Sean, founder of BrevTech
Full-time IT security consultant, spare-time Breville repairer
I have always liked fixing things. Growing up, taking things apart, working out how they functioned, and getting them going again was the part I enjoyed most.
In 2019, I came across a coffee machine that was being thrown out and decided to have a go at fixing it. I found the process genuinely enjoyable, and things progressed from there. What started as curiosity turned into a deeper interest in Breville machines in particular, how they are put together, where they fail, and what actually helps keep them running well.
I still work full time as an IT security consultant, but in my spare time I like to stay in the game with Breville machine repairs. More recently, the website has started taking more of that time, but the part I still find most satisfying is working on the machines themselves, understanding how they work, and helping other people keep theirs going instead of replacing them too early.
I also want to keep adding more content to the YouTube channel, and I intend to do that, but producing good repair videos properly is time consuming with everything else going on right now. There is still a real lack of useful video content for these machines, especially considering how popular they are, and there are plenty more videos that should exist.
Hands-on knowledge
The advice, kits, and parts focus comes from real repair experience with the machines BrevTech customers actually own, especially Breville Dual Boiler and Oracle models.
Built for repair, not hype
The goal is simple: make repairs clearer, reduce wasted time, and help owners get the right part or next step without guesswork.
Still personally involved
BrevTech is not a faceless catalogue. The site, the guides, and the product focus are all shaped by ongoing interest in the machines and the people trying to keep them alive.
