Customer service was very responsive to a question I had prior to placing the order. Order came from the other side of the world in less than a week. Got the machine working again using both old and new parts spliced together. Very appreciative.

That said: Three stars not five because of Breville creating the problem in the first place and the sketchy fix they developed to help remedy the clearly recurring issue. And while I have enjoyed the machine for the 3 years I’ve owned it, this will be my last Breville unfortunately, due to this problem. I trust subsequent models were designed with stronger filament. And if they weren’t, I hope Breville allowed the automatic temp sensor to be bypassed and the frother operated manually until the sensor could be replaced. And I hope they designed a better repair solution that doesn’t require jewelry monocles and micro-surgery equipment to install.

But none of that is the tech group’s mistake, so they get credit for providing a solution to a problem they didn’t create.
