Tips From the Technician:

"⚠️ I'd recommend you first test the element using an insulation tester and check for any punctures in the boiler to avoid unnecessary work. If your house fuse is tripping and you don't have any large leaks, then you very likely need a whole new boiler.

Always replace the thermal switch too if the thermal fuse has blown - A blown fuse indicates the switch has failed to do its job! This is a long job so you do not want to have to repeat anything.

The spade connectors I provide are lockable, as i've found non-lockable types can fall off when installing the boiler back in, which means you have to take the boiler out again :(
